Evolsaur Diplo ruling Empty
PostSubject: Evolsaur Diplo ruling   Evolsaur Diplo ruling EmptyWed Apr 04, 2012 3:23 pm

I play evol for a while and I need some explanation about this combo.

Evo-Force
Tribute 1 "Evoltile" monster; Special Summon 1 "Evolsaur" monster from your Deck. It is treated as if it was Special Summoned by the effect of an "Evoltile" monster.

Evoltile Najasho
If this card on the field is Tributed: You can Special Summon 1 "Evolsaur" monster from your Deck.

Evolsaur Diplo
When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of an "Evoltile" monster: Target 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls; destroy that target.

activate evo-force, tribute najasho
najasho effect activate special summon Diplo what happend?

diplo is special summon and is effect is activate or you have to special with the evo-force before activating diplo effect??

I've always done the first but today someone told me that I have to wait for the other evolsaur to come out before.

You have 3 effects, probably 4 here.

First you activate Evo-Force, it will resolve normally since no chain has been formed. You tribute Najasho (as a cost) and special summon an evolsaur monster from your deck.

After Evo-Force resolved, Najasho will try to activate as soon as it can (mandatory effect), in this case, during that evolsaur's succesful summon window. At this time a chain will be made (SEGOC) if you summoned an evolsaur that triggers when summoned by an evoltile. Let's say you summoned Evolsaur Vulcano with Evo-Force:

Vulcano and Najasho will try to activate at the same time, simultaneous effects go on chain: link 1 Najasho, link 2 Vulcano. After Vulcano resolves, Najasho brings out an evolsaur monster from your deck.

To sumarize, no...you cannot activate Najasho before Evo-Force finishes it's resolution and brings out your first evolsaur. What you CAN do is summoning Diplo with Force, and building your chain with both Diplo and Najasho.

in the OCG the chain would be built with SEGOC. in the TCG it wouldn't be SEGOC. after najasho is tributed for the cost of evo-force it is automatically placed as the first chain link on the next chain, after the chain with evo-force resolves. evo-force will finish resolving and summon diplo. since najasho is already on the first chain link the effect will be on the next available chain link (which is chain link 2). then that chain will resolve, destroying a spell/trap with diplo's effect and then summoning an evolsaur monster from your deck.
