What up peoples of DGA? Since I'm back, I decided to kick things off with writing this mini-ish article. If you know me, you probably know 2 things: 1, I love deck profiles, and 2, I love HEROES! I present to you a HERO deck, but not the kind you might be expecting. I give you: Tefnuit-Dark Armed!

Now, you might be looking at this list and thinking to yourself: "WTF?" Bear with me. Well first of all, most of you who looked at the new banlist thought that Tele-DAD might have a chance at making a comeback because of Destiny Draw and Emergency Teleport coming back to 3. It's not going to be the sheer brokeness it was, so don't get worried, but we have enough toys now to make it an actual threat again. I have a normal Tele-DAD build. But then I thought of this one.
There is, admittedly, a lot of high level monsters chilling in this deck. But it's not for no purpose. Tefnuit is able to special summon itself while your opponent has a monster and you don't, but the fun doesn't end there as everyone who has played Hieratics knows. If it's tributed, you can special summon a normal dragon from your deck. One of the worst things about Destiny Heroes is drawing Malicious. Now, with 3 Destiny Draw and 3 Tefnuit, it's almost better if you do. Just by simply specialing Tefnuit and tributing for Malicious, you get 2 level 6 monsters ready to XYZ. And Mali is now chilling in grave for later.
But that's not all ladies and gentelman. Throw in E-Tele, Plague, or Dasher into the mix and it gets really fun. One of the best combos is to go Bounzer + Stardust. There's ways to get out of that of course, but it locks the opponent down pretty good. There's several ways to do it, here's 1:
Special Tefnuit. Tribute for Mali. Special Wattaildragon. E-Tele for Krebons. Tune Krebons and Mali for stardust. Banish Mali for Mali. Overlay Mali and Wattaildragon for Bounzer.
Dasher is a boss in this deck. Not only is he a D-Draw target, he's a level 6, so he can set off Tefnuit, and he can give you a free special summon if you're stuck. All attributes prove useful. Like once I got stuck with Wattaildragon with no Tefnuit, so I banished Mali for Mali, returned Wattail for Plague, synched it up with those 2, and then when I drew Wattail next turn I summoned it and had 2 beaters with 0 advantage lost.
This deck is really fun to play with all the tricks you have, and the synergy is awesome. Everything works together well but doesn't necessarily rely on having any other 1 card to get your combos off. I think this has the potential to be better than normal Tele-DAD. It's main strength is the sheer speed. Tef adds not only a Cyber Dragon effect, but a free Wattail from the deck, so it's really easy to summon 2 bosses a turn with a semi-decent hand. The draw speed and toolboxing abilities are the best in the game currently. Bounzer wrecks, and the other rank 6's are nothing to sneeze at since they're basically Effect Veilers, Catastors, Scrap Dragons, and Brionacs in XYZ form. The deck also has the nice ability to stall with Gachi when you have no other options. Compulsory is a thing but barring that there's not much to do to get rid of Gachi other than to keep attacking it. The downside is it relies on being able to special summon a little bit more than normal Tele-DAD. If you're locked from special summoning by Drago or Vanity's Fiend, you can't really do ANYTHING until you find a way to get rid of that card. Everything is based around special summoning somehow. If you can't do that, you're kinda screwed, and while you can summon a Rai-Oh or Diamond Dude to try to find a way out in normal Tele-DAD, you can't here. Another thing is you can't really justify making room for Reinforcement of The Army with only 2 targets, so Stratos isn't used quite as often as usual. Also with 11 high level monsters, they're bound to clog some time, although not as much as you would think.
The final downside is the lack of room. I put in what was absolutely necessary (the engines), staples, and a couple of techs but still have many cards to fit in. With more engines you have less room for tech, by nature. Here are some honorable mentions that you might want to consider for your own personal build:
Chaos Sorcerer: Banishes stuff. Easy summon with plenty of lights and darks. Controls your dark count for DAD. Combolicious in a deck that spams 6+2 synchros and rank 6 XYZ. Only reason he's not in here is bc I have a ton of high levels already. But he is among my first choices to use.
Evil Hero Infernal Prodigy: Not as stupid as he looks. He's a free special summon in case you get 0 Tefnuit, and if you tribute him for Dasher or Mali, you draw a card at the end phase. He's not here for a lack of room. Doom Lord isn't necessary but I like him right now for the extra D-Draw target and to get rid of that dang Drago. Run 1-2 if you want to use him.
Tour Guide From The Underworld: Herpaderpalol. You know what this does. I don't like using it anymore since it's at 2, but it's not useless by a long shot. I'm not using it for lack of room, lack of necessity for more engines, and lack of extra deck space. I'd say don't use it but do what you want. It won't ruin the deck if you do. But don't be an idiot, run 2 if you're going to run it.
Caius The Shadow Monarch: With constant tribute fodder available, he's kind of a no brainer. Except for the lack of room, and there's already a ton of high levels. Use 1-2 if you want him anyway.
Dark Grepher: He can help eliminate the "not many things to normal summon" problem, and the "too many high levels in hand" problem, as well as the "damn I really wish that card was in the grave" problem. But eh. You don't need him really either, it's just preference. Run 1 if you wish, MAYBE 2.
Mind Control: You run tuners and XYZ is a thing. But for the life of me I can't find room for it.
Hieratic Seal of Convocation: This is what I'm currently using instead of the 3rd D-Draw and E-Tele until the new banlist. It's a good card, helps you get Tefnuit. But again, tight deck space, and I usually don't have an issue drawing Tefnuit, not that you always need Tefnuit to win in the first place. Run 1-2 if you can find the space.
I like bringing you guys unique deck ideas. This one isn't exactly new, people have been starting to use it, but it's combolicious and kind of a dark horse deck, so naturally i want to share it with you guys. This build has worked pretty great for me, the only bad matchups being Hero Beat who Compulsory me to no end and run over me with Shining, Dragons that use Drago, or decks that still use Maxx "C". Against other fast decks, it's awesome, and siding is a thing so you can hit the decks that hurt you. But in the end, it's our difference in playstyles that make us the duelist we are, so be creative and don't be afraid to use other techs as well. Peace.
