trag and gorz

ok i remember hearing that if you take battle damage that you would be able to bring out both tragod and gorz, as long as you make gorz chain link 1 so that no cards will be on the field at the time that he hits the field.

is this a legal play or not? cuz i remember a judge saying before that you can't because oen or the other would miss activation, would that still be true if you chain them, or activate both of them at the same time?

and if it is a legal play can you give me some resource to a similar ruling or to the exact ruling?

Tragoedia misses the timing because the effect goes "When... you can..." those are the ones that miss timing

The thing is the battle damage has to Be da last thing that happens forthings like Gorx to activate, but since the summon happens last other cards like trag can't activate

Anyone could say that you can summon both by going SEGOC without missing any timing, but in this case there's a special rule that applies:

Trigger Effects that Special Summon monsters from the hand can be activated once per chain, wich means you can't form a chain with both Gorz and Tragoedia once you take a single amount of damage.

ok what rjuto says completely solves the question at hand. i mean it nice to know that you cant do something, but all in all, it's best to know WHY it cant be done

well sure konami said so, but in this situation i dont like that answer. although from what i have heard that is the newest ruling with starlight road, and how stardust can special summon himself at the end phase if he uses his effect. just what i have heard. and everything about that is, "Because Konami said so" through and through.

correct me if im wrong on that statement though, that is just what i had heard last about that specific card ruling

no new ruling. and that's not BKSS. it's because it wasn't summoned correctly is why it can't summon itself with it's effect.

well i know that part, i was referring to it CAN special itself as being BKSS

no not closed yet. i'm trying to see if nivedo is confused, or if he just made a typo.

i was vague with my earlier post and assumed that he understood would and correct himself in his latter post but that was not very smart of me =/. i was trying to say that, if brought out by starlight road, stardust cannot be "reborned" because it wasn't summoned out properly. making sure that nivedo understands this and isn't confused.

i apologize if there was any confusion in this post by me.

no i completely understand, i was referring to an older ruling that i had heard about starlight road saying that you could special summon him from grave, and i was saying that was BKSS.

if you say that the current ruling is that it cant be brought out then that is what i have to go off of for now.
i do understand the game mechanics behind all of that. i wasn't confused about it at all, it was everyone else who put a question mark behind "it CAN" that was confused.

but you can close it, i wasnt confused or anything
