"Back to hand" Issue

Cards Used:
Penguin Soldier:ATK:750/DEF:500 FLIP: You can return up to 2 Monsters Cards from the field to the owner's hand.

Situation:
A monster of my opponent (Blue Eyes White Dragon ATK:3000/DEF:2500) battled with my faced down Penguin Soldier, I flipped it and activated the effect (put back 2 monsters to hand). I then choose, his/her monster and my own monster (which is the Penguin Soldier).

Question:
Is it possible to also return the attacked monster to it's owner's hand since the effect says "return 2 monster cards from the field to the owner's hand"

After Blue-eyes attack Penguin and before Penguin's effect active (in sub-step 6 of damage step), Penguin become destruction status. In this status, monster become unaffected by its own effect. Penguin cannot return itself to hand, Morphing Jar 2 cannot return itseft to deck, Man-Eater Bug cannot destroy itself, etc..

So, it makes a difference if I was the one who "Flip summoned" it right?
By that way I can choose my own monster (Penguin soldier)

Yes, if you flip summon it, you could select it as target.
