March 2013 Banlist Discussion

Well its about time someone starts this so I'll do it I guess. Do you have any expectations or wishes for the march 2013 ban list?

What's that? Multiple Tsukuyomis? Who would ever think that was coming back? Oh wait-

yeah just give Sams one more Smoke Signal without banning Gateway.

Mediocre list. I hate Sam support without Gateway ban, WU was overkilled in something eerily reminiscent of last year's Plants neutering, and some key cards and archetypes evaded everything. However, while Warning to 1 is neutral for me it does help my decks, WU dead eliminates bad Chain Beat matchup, and best of all, One Day got bitchslapped.

Not totally confirmed, but looking quite likely.
Hopefully I can take advantage of this tomorrow at locals depending on how the news has spread.

I went to the card shop today trying to sell lots of things like WU and FF stuff but the owner said he had enough FF stuff and the banlist screwed me with WU cuz they leakedit to early. The list is not that bad, I think we will have a descent format. Warning to 1 is stupid tho.

2. Really? Because the more I think about it, the more I respect Warning going to 1. I mean, yeah, it makes cards like Undine more powerful (you could say Laggia, but that deck loses a Warning for defense to help offset things in that regard), but admit it: 2 Warnings was a bitch to play around sometimes. Putting it at 1 makes it much more of a power card you have to think about, and with its power level and wide range of cards it can stop, it seemed like it was a card destined to be limited at some point.

Warning is like Oppression, you make your push and set it.It's really hard to come back from that.

Tsuku to 2, Rai-oh semied, Warning to 1. It's like, they saying "ok go spend all your $$ in Prophecy already". I dont like those signals turning into Beasts though.

I would've loved to see mermail being slowed down, but meh. I dont "hate" the list, let's see if it's real. Shriek already fucked up once so I wouldn't be so sure.

it's like the list one year ago. They won't hit Mermail,Prophecy and Fire Fists because they wanna sell their new sets.

We've got a scan now, so it's legitimate (though there is one change: Mind Crush to 3).

Not bad, but Six Sams are gonna be insane next format. Taking away a warning + adding a smoke signal = more shi en spam. Not really complaining though, everything else looks pretty cool.

This. With 3 signals Naturia Beast will be a pain.

Sams were legit even with 2 Smoke Signals if you played the right build. Water will keep Sams in check though.

imo water is kinda like darkworld. if you draw your side cards you can win. even if you draw your side cards against sams its still a pretty hard match.

Except Water doesn't TOTALLY die to the sides like DW and is infinitely cooler and not as annoying =D

Also, the mirror isn't as much of a pile of dog crap.
