Photon Chaos

Now this is my 1st draft of the deck so interesting techs will be included

Here is the decklist

Spoiler:

Monster are simple in essence Gorz, Bls, Maxx, Tour guide add that dark fodder & explosive plays.

Summoner monk and Sacred crane make for an interesting relationship in this deck. I initially had crane to abuse Photon Lead, but its on the cutting block at the moment. As I've taken out Lead, but I'm open to thoughts.

Photon line-up is small yet effective with 2k+ beaters
Sabre tiger
Thrasher- Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) while you control no monsters. If you control another monster, this card cannot attack.
Crusher- If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Damage Step.

Spells are simple cept for a couple card to clarify

Dragon mirror<--- lol wut, is your reaction, but look up and its not so insane
Photon Twin dragon
(2 "Photon" Monsters
You can Tribute this face-up card on the field; Special Summon, from your Graveyard, both of the Fusion Material Monsters used for the Fusion Summon of this card.)

Card allows for late game explosive plays or fodder for leviar, either way I like it so far.

*Photon trident-Target 1 face-up "Photon" monster you control; until the End Phase, it gains 700 ATK, and if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent. When it inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent this turn: You can target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target.

a chainable rush recklessly that allows me to pop s/t, sure why not!

Traps are rather self explanatory

Hmm i guess it may be too early to have the trident and mirror. Seemed good at 1st but the lack of targets started to show its flaw . O well

Smash's will be sided and staple traps shall be added. My extra usually never contains Ocg, but i will note your extra deck changes

Also, 3x maxx c? dont you think that's a bit overkill? I also have storm in the deck already

Then in lieu of the second and illegal copy of heavy storm, I'd tech an Effect Veiler.

I think Maxx "C" at 3 is almost required for basically every deck this format. The top threats are InzektAgents, Rabbit Dino, Plants, Karakuri, Dark World, and Wind-Ups. Maxx "C" gives you extra cards and usually stops the opponent from making their power plays in all of the above decks except Dark World (I suggest you side Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror instead of Kycoo probably even taking out another sided card and maxing them out since DW and Inzektor variants can give this tons of trouble).

Also, dont run 3 Cranes with 2 Monks because it's inconsistent. What happens if you draw into Crane? Exactly.

idgi why the tridents and dragon's mirror. Unless for some freak reason the monsters used in Dragons Mirror go to the graveyard again, all you're doing is getting a 2200 beat stick, which doesn't seem all that fantastic to me. And as for trident, can you really say it's better than Torrential, Mirror Force, or even MST? I would think Forbidden Lance would be even a little bit more useful to at least dodge some removal effects.

only had 2 crane/2 monk in my build. That build is interesting, there are some aspects that i will take to my build but at least this format, im all set with drain. I do thank you finding a different variant for insight
