Have you tried out Frozen Soul ? Should be easy to activate cuz you play Upstart and Countdown.

idk I don't really see it as better than any of the other options. And if I need to stall for FC it can be a problem since I might not have the low enough LP to play it, and I don't really want to have to take a hit since it then might affect whether or not I can play FC later on.

final countdown never ceases to annoy me, but this is an interesting build.... just straight ending battle phases...no kuribohs?

Yeah I'm thinking of exchanging the Negate Attack's for Winged Kuribohs, but other then that, I think this is pretty standard.

You could try scapegoat. And how come you don't add cards like messenger, gravity bind, or level limit if you want to stall?

Scapegoat is certainly a solid replacement for negate attack, although I don't really like how it can be stopped by solemn warning, but that's not too big of an issue, so I'll make that replacement now.

As for the continuous forms of stall, I don't like them because they're all prone to destruction, unlike the chainables, and also none of them completely stop attacks from all monsters, for example XYZ monsters are totally unaffected by Gravity Bind and Level Limit - Area B.
