ok would forced requisition work if say i discard 2 cards and my opponent only has 1 card in hand? i would think that it would work but my friends were saying otherwise and honestly the card text seems to support them a bit more than it does me.

so just like the last post Johnboi preferred to answer my question but if nothing else at least confirm anything that is said

it says "the same number of cards", meaning it must be exactly the same number, if u discard 2 then he has to dis 2, if he doesn't have 2, the conditions aren't met and he doesn't discard at all

If cards in his hand < your discarded cards, he must discards all his cards.

see look i would be thinking that it is more of what magicknight said, only because its not a condition or anything to activate the effect or for the effect to go through. the only condition that needs to be met is you discarding a card. so i would think that they would discard until they run out of cards or until they discard the appropriate amount.

Woot

Very good reasoning Nivedo. That's the kind of thinking a judge would make ;]

im pretty interested in how this works as well seeing how awesome tech like this would be in dw/fabled builds. also another concern i have with this card is in situtation where you and your opp dis does the effect from forced go off right when you dis or after the effect is resolved like dwd or dwl , imo i think it would go off right when you dis, if so dwd would -2 each player i can live with that versus my -2 to their -1, or in dwl's case another -2 vs -2 this tech would help dw a lot if indeed it worked that way... and maybe im slow or something but did anyone actually answer this post with the right answer, or am i to assume that Nivedo's answer was right...

whenever johnboi says woot, from what i know, that means i agree with the answer given and i dont have to say anything. so the answer i gave was the correct ruling for it.

but to answer the first part of your question it wouldnt activate immediately, it would wait for the card to resolve first before activating itself. only because cards cannot activate during the resolution of an effect unless the cards states that it can, and there are only a few that do say so.

so for example, you have 5 cards in hand forced req already on the field and activated, and a face down morphing jar. flip morphing jar, discard your whole hand with your opponent, draw 5 new cards each, forced req goes off, and your opponent discards their 5 new cards, leaving them with an empty hand.

Except Forced Requisition is slow and difficult to activate also very combo dependent in terms of effectiveness. I wouldn't really recommend it in DW or really anything for that matter, there's just better alternatives.
