Both events went down from Sepember 5th to 7th. While the big 3 dominated YCS Toronto and made any other deck extinct in the top 32, rogue decks did make the cut at YCS Madrid.
The top 32 meta was as follows:
YCS Toronto:
16 Shaddoll
7 Satellarknight
9 Burning Abyss
YCS Madrid:
16 Shaddoll
6 Satellarknight
4 Burning Abyss
1 Prophecy
1 Mermail
1 Burn
1 Artifact
1 Stun
1 Infernity
Before the event(s), Satellarknight were regarded as the better deck and Shaddolls as an okish deck with a lot of problems. That proved to be wrong. Besides rogue decks showing up at Madrid, there's another difference between both events: Satellarknights did worse at YCS Toronto, but better at YCS Madrid, same goes for Burning Abyss the other way round.
This meta in fact has become a 3 deck meta. But just because Shaddolls are now seen as the best deck or that YCS Toronto excluded any rogue deck from it's top 32, doesn't mean you should build your deck to beat Shaddoll only. (and/or Satellarknight/Burning Abyss)
There's still some rogue stuff floating around. Don't throw in crazy Anti-Shaddoll cards into your deck, just to get beaten by Satellarknights.
One should have noticed that Shaddolls don't have a concrete build even after dominating both tournaments. While the Artifact, Dragon and Thunder Dragon variants are the most popular, you can still put your own twist on how to approach this archetype.
Anoter thing to note is that all 3 decks just got released in the newest set, which means they probably won't get touched by the next banned list. The meta could stay the same for the following months.
We'll see what happens in the future. Maybe we'll get to see some successful Anti-Meta decks on the rise after all.
