A question of Chaining

So this is the scenario:
Opponent Contact Fusions Gladiator Beast Gyzarus
I activate my Starlight Road as he targets two cards on my field.
He then chains Forbidden Lance on his Gyzarus.
So...
Does Gyzarus get destroyed or what??

When a card or effect is activated that destroys 2 or more cards you control: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card, then you can Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Extra Deck.

Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the End Phase, it loses 800 ATK, but is unaffected by the effects of other Spell/Trap Cards.

Lance will make road fizzle since starlight road cannot negate the Gb.

there are spell speeds involved but i'm too lazy to explain that part. someone can use better jargon than me

no jargon needed. just refrain from using "fizzle". should say, "resolves without effect" instead. more proper =b
