Mind Crush? Empty
PostSubject: Mind Crush?   Mind Crush? EmptySun Jun 24, 2012 5:06 pm

There's been an endless argument between duelists in my area about this card. Mad If the player who activated Mind Crush declared a card name which is not in his opponent's hand, does his opponent reveal his hand to confirm? Same thing if multiple copies are present. thanks.

Your opponent must reveal hand to show that he does not have a copy in hand in order to endure there isn't cheating.

if he draws into another copy is fine. but for that play you have to look at his hand

Ok thanks. The cause of our confusion is because of what the wikia has in the rulings that it is now previously official rulings that "If the opponent doesn't have the named card, you can check their hand to confirm." And also because it doesn't state in the card that you have to check. Shocked

If the card that was named was not discarded - reveal hand

If 3 copies, 2 copies if the card is semi-limited, 1 copy if the card is limited - do not reveal

If he discarded 1 or 2 and the rest was already in grave - do not reveal

The second part, if you guessed wrong is considered as discarding by your own card's eff, so in case u discard a dw monster, only the first eff will work. Hope it helps.

yeah i know about the second part. I beg your pardon on your second statement:

"If 3 copies, 2 copies if the card is semi-limited, 1 copy if the card is limited - do not reveal"

I quite don't get it. Question

If the card you declared is semi-limited, and the opponent discards two copies, then he/she can't have anymore in his/her hand.

The same with limited (1) and unlimited (3)

Oh okay, thanks a lot! It just seemed kinda unfair to reveal your hand even if it the card declared isn't there. Laughing

OR even if you do not discard anything, you may call over a judge to confirm there are no copies of the declared card in your hand to prevent showing your opponent your hand.

actually this is false. players are to maintain the game state, without judges, as much as possible. you're not supposed to call over a judge to make any confirmations or anything like that.

Huh good to know. I wonder when they changed that. Then again the last time I played in any sort of major event was 2009... ^^'
