| I'm surprised no one has actually written out an explanation on what EXACTLY the "priority" hit means in TCG.
Well, here's nousername, aka bboyheritage, here to give you guys at DGA the full scoop.
So basically, we're just gonna run down the specifics, then I'll be little more detailed.
Cards such as:
Rescue Rabbit
Dark Armed Dragon
Gale the Whirlwind (which I'm surprised a lot of people forgot about)
Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon
Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
and almost all xyz monsters
... have lost their "priority".
But what does this exactly mean? It simply means that when they are summoned, their effect cannot be activated in a "closed game state".
"But what does THAT mean??", you may ask. Well, in layman's terms, it means that they can activate their effects, but now its a littler slower to do. Their effects can be activated as a Spell Speed 1. Only Spell Speed 2 or higher and activate in a "closed game state". So that means that players in the TCG can now use cards like Compulsory Evacuation Device, Torrential Tribute, or even Bottomless Trap Hole on a majority of the cards stated above and many others not listed.
Now you might be thinking, "Great! So I can Bottomless Trap a Shi En! Or Torrential a Laggia! Cool!", but sadly you are mistaken. These cards have NOT lost their "priority". No, its not because Konami is extremely evil (though they can be a little money hungry, what with the ban-list and all...) but its because they have "quick effects", not "ignition effects".
Cards Like:
Stardust Dragon
Legendary Six Samurai Shi En
Evolzar Laggia
Elemental Hero Stratos
Armageddon Knight
and Caius the Shadow Monarch
are unaffected by the removal of priority in TCG.
"BUT WHY?", you might say. Well, it's because they either have Continuous, Trigger, Quick, or Flip effects. Only Ignition effects have their priority taken away now, which means that they can activate their effects in a closed game state, UNLESS their summon is negated by cards like "Solemn Judgement" or "Solemn Warning".
For example:
Player A summons "Legendary Six Samuarai - Shi En" by tuning "Kagemusha of the Six Samurai" with "Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki" while Player B has a set "Book of Moon".
Player B activates "Book of Moon" after the the resolved summon of "Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En"
Player A activates Shi En's effect to negate 1 spell or trap per turn.
"Okay, so what just happened here?"
Well, Shi En is a Quick Effect monster, which means that he can activate his effect in a closed game state. So he CAN negate the "Book of Moon" Player B tried to activate against him. Lets look at another scenario...
Player A summons "Rescue Rabbit" while Player B has a set "Book of Moon".
Player B activates "Book of Moon", flipping Player A's "Rescue Rabbit" face-down.
"So why couldn't Rescue Rabbit activate his effect again?"
Because Rabbit no longer has priority in a closed game state. In order for his effect to be activated, the game state must be OPEN. Then they can activate it's effect as a Spell Speed 1.
So that's basically all I have to say Priority and Ignition Effects. If you have any feedback or correction or what-have-you, feel free to comment and I'll make the adjustments. In any case, thanks for reading, duel hard, and never give up!

| Thx for the Article mate Just wana add osmething to it to help people to recognize a quick eff. If the card can be activated in your opponents turn in response to an action that your opponent makes, the effect is a quick eff and not an ignition effect, its as simple as that | |

| please don't call it "the removal of priority in TCG." we did not lose priority, we lost the ability, as the turn player, to activate a monster's ignition effect after an action that doesn't start a chain. Priority itself has not left the TCG.

Correct; however, turn player still has pri.....hmmm, awkward, how do i say this....Ok, i'll start over. Turn player still has dibs on activating effects, otherwise the game will become a total mess.

| OH GUYS
You all know what I mean. To clarify,
Using the term "Priority" with an ignition effect monster has been taken away (layman's terms). And to clarify FURTHER, This matter only truly deals with Ignition effect monsters when they are SUMMONED. Yes, turn player is able to activate effects if the monster is already on the field and their opponent has no response to negating that effect.
