PostSubject: YCS San Diego   YCS San Diego EmptyTue Apr 09, 2013 8:47 am

Top 32:

12 Mermail
6 Dino Rabbit
4 Fire Fist
2 Frog Monarch
2 Wind-Up
1 Karakuri
1 Karakuri Geargia
1 Gishki OTK
1 Machina Gadget
1 Prophecy
1 Six Samurai

Top 16:

6 Mermail
3 Fire Fist
3 Dino Rabbit
2 Frog Monarch
1 Wind-Up
1 Machina Gadget

Not much changed since the last YCS. Water is still the best deck, with Fire Fists coming at a close second. Dino Rabbit did well at Regionals lately and it's popularity can be explained by having an excellent Mermail matchup.

What I personally found interesting is that 2 of the 4 Fire Fists decks weren't pure Fire Fists, but Dino Fists, maining 3 Sabersaurus as their second set of normal monsters. That version of Fire Fists was generally seen as less effective compared to the standard version, yet it did well at this event.

Other highlights are Allen C Pennington topping with Gishki OTK (decklist to be added
later) and Long Dao making top 16 with a 48 card Mermail deck.
