Diamond Dude and A Hero Lives!

so basically the title speaks for itself...will A Hero Lives resolve when being used by Diamond Dude's effect??

Diamond dude activate effect! Reveal top, A Hero Lives.

okay...but ummm...it's like a card condition right? the statement: "When you have no face-up monsters on the field:"

so this is where i get confused, you see when you use Diamond Dude's effect to reveal Pot of Duality and Parallel World Fusion, you can still special summon on that turn. ?_?

Pot of duality says : You cannot Special Summon a monster(s) during the turn you activate this card. Parallel word fusion says the same thing.

when you use then with dimaond dude eff you dont activate the card, only the effect, so you can still special summon that turn

This is incorrect.

Diamond Dude's eff clearly specifies that only the EFFECT of the revealed spell will be activated.

This means costs, activation requirements and conditions will be completely ignored.

In this particular case, not having monsters is an activation requirement, not a part of A Hero Lives effect.

So yes, you can special summon your Hero even if DD is still face-up, without paying half your LP.
