| This was a good YCS, I thought. My only real complaint is that Karakuris didn't show well, but all else was great. Something unexpected won, Inzektors got owned, Six Sams didn't make an impact, and Evols made top 32... good stuff.
He made some interesting calls with his deck, too. Very logical about not needing Veilers and Chains. Not that I'll really make any changes to my decks as a result.

| Since when is samurai not an auto-pilot deck? You drop Shi-En/Nat Beast turn one and back it up with defensive traps. There's nothing not auto-pilot about that. It's just a coincidence that he got to face the easier matchups in the top bracket for his deck of choice. If he had been matched up against one of the more difficult matches earlier on he probably would have been knocked out. With the game in the current state it is, winning a YCS is more like winning at a roulette table than winning at a poker table. Other than the money required to play, there isn't really much of any skill involved. | |

| Cool guy is cool. "Well honestly, I didn't know who I was playing, i just played the game."
Whaaaaaat? Someone who wants to just play the game to have fun and not play skilless decks? Impossible! Also, the interviewer is good, he asked good questions. Skill Drain is awesome this format, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. Will be doing a deck profile soon on a deck that mains Skill Drains, so stay tuned for that.

| Going into a tourney without Veiler or Maxx C is totally fine as long as you back it up with some other cards to choose from like TKRO or Cyber Dragon however it does help you control the game and even turn it around. | |
