This is the flamvell build I used for most of my playing experience after Neos came out. It worked well most of the time, but then I used it for the test and I sorta couldn't draw anything useful for the most part:

I just have no idea as to why I couldn't get anything to work correctly. Any ideas?

Try a build with jurracs, flamvells are weak by themselves

You can try putting in The thing in the Crater to help with some stalling for some cards. However it s-summon's from your hand so it may not be the best idea. You cold try masked dragon since it is a fire type.

Jurracs can help out the deck alot as stated above. A good card could be Jurrac Stauriko. It's a lv 2 monster with the same effect as dandylion, except it has to be destroyed by battle. Not sure but maybe some Lavel monsters could work as well in this. I'll try to be a little more helpful when it isn't 1 in the morning my time Very Happy

It was 3 in the morning when you posted this. And I'm trying a flamvell/lightsworn build Harper posted before and it looks good. Just not sure about pitching cards a lot lol

Huh, you had more spell/trap hate than I thought. Guess you just didn't draw into it during the test. Whenever you make a deck, you need to make sure you only add a card if it helps what you're trying to accomplish, not just because it's part of the archtype or the same attibute as the archtype. Well, what are Flamvells good at? They have a Shura-like synchro system, plenty of tuners, and best of all Rekindling, so they're clearly meant to synchro like there's no tomorrow. Tengu's just what the doctor ordered ti make Flamvell more consistant AND explosive. Your standard Flamvell engine is this:
3x Firedog
3x Magician
but Hedgehog is good, and I like Shooting Star Dragon and Red Nova Dragon, so we'll add Baby and Poun. I personally use a single Grunika because often I don't have enough non-tuner flamvells in grave. Flamvells work just as well from the grave, so lightsworn are very helpful. We use Tengu though, so they're not as needed as before, so 3 Ryko, no more ls and no Charge. Here's my build for the new banlist:

Flamvells definately got better with the banlist. They weren't even touched, and with Heavy back they're that much harder to prevent from swarming. Starlight's in bc I still use traps and it's fun to use against Dark Hole, Heavy, BRD, Icarus (which is back at 3), Offering, and others. This may change a little. Dustshoot seems like an important card this format, and I was using Horn of The Phantom Beast to run over stuff more effectively, but with Heavy and 3 mst I took them out. I still may use them. Dandy I'm considering so I can make Shooting without Rekindling, and he's just good for synchro spam in general. And I miss One For One :/. And to answer your pm, no, I do not care if you use this as your main deck. Spam it all you want bro Wink

Cool. I'm still at my mom's in good ol' San Antonio to fix my car so I'll test out the two decks and see which one I like better. Thank ya'll for the help and I'll keep everyone posted on how it turns out. Oh. And I am working on a laval/flamvell build. Having a little trouble, but I have an idea on where I want it to go so hopefully be able to finish that when I get back too
