I know I'm very late for this but I was really busy lately. I Didn't had many free time to play RL Yugioh either Sad I think I did only 1 tournament in the last 2 weekws when it is supose to be at least 4 Razz but yeah Lets start this

Tech of the week No 3 : FORBIDDEN LANCE

''Select 1 face-up monster on the field. Until the End Phase, it loses 800 ATK, but is unaffected by the effects of other Spell/Trap Cards.''


The amzing thing about this card is that you can either use it Offensively or Deffensively. This card can be Teched in decks that have to potential to generate OTK's easily or spam anoying monsters. I will talk about 2 spefcific decks where this card is doing VERY GOOD lately and the good thing is that those 2 decks where kinda invisible in the last format and they might make a come back Smile

1ST DECK : Gladiator Beasts : This deck was a total no show in the last format and now the lost of 2 Book of Moon might hurt them a lot but actualy maybe they are not hurted that much. Forbidden Lance replace perfectly the 2 BOM's and I will tell you Why. As many of you may know. GB's dot play a lot of monsters, the deck is made most of the times with only 15 monsters and a shit load of Backrow cards to protech your GB's and counter your opponent techs. Once you get Gyzarus on the field, you know if that the monster survives to your opponent turn, you might get pluses on your next turn so you need to protect your gyzarus form cards like Dark Hole, Samshing ground ETC and you dont wana waste your Solemn Judgement For that so thats why forbiden lance is a MUST in that deck. You can protect your Key Monsters from being Destroyed and even your monster lose 800 atk points, your oppnet will have to sumon a monster to destroy him by battle qand GB's always have a response for those kind of situations '' D Prion, Chariot' Warning, BOM ETC... ''. Well that was the 1st pont now lets see the second point. GB's dont have a big attack, except for the fusion monsters, and tehy can get destroyed by battle pretty easily. Forbidden Lance can actualy work as a Shrink in this kind of situations and that gives you a plus 1 if your opponent had only 1 monster on the field. Everybody loves Pluses right XD

2nd Deck : MACHINA : Macines, Machines Dear Machines Very Happy Everybody knows Machina's for their anoying aspect of getting hand advantge pretty easily and for their ability to set up OTK's. Well that is only possible if you get your machina fortress on the field. Machina Fortress is Indeed one of the best monsters in the game. both of his effects are broken ! When you get it on the field, your opponent have to waste spell or traps to ged rid of him or he will lose a card either from is hand or from the field. If your machina fortress is equiped with gearframe, getting rid of him is even harder and the best way to do it is actualy with a D Prison. If you dont want that to happen you must have those forbidden lance in your deck. Another way that card can help you is when machina fortress is not equiped with no monsters. Your opponent will have to destroy it with a dark hole to getting over his effect but again he will fail if you have the lance. if you counter his card with the lance, he will have no ither choice that attack the fortress and that will cost him a card from his field and you will probably sp sumon another fortress next turn so you dont lose nothing.

Well this are some exemples of how this card can actualy help a lot of decks. Hope you liked the tech of this week. Cya next week for another cool tech. Cya DGA

This card makes Gb so much more in control now! Play it offense or defense is just insane! This is the card that makes me want to play gb again Smile

After pulling two of these babies on waltmart i havent been able to test them but still imo this is a huge card , and as scorp said GBs get a big big boost here,
but also remember this card is gonna be againts use for example

Blackwhirlwind + Summon Shura we Bottomless/ Book of moon are whatever u want to do to stop it and opponents will just chain forbidden lance .... getting possibly blizzard to hand
Legendary Six sams , REd and Blue Rangers Countless Counters not able to be stopped just destroying the backrow
and probably the one i hate the most
Foultrolls Lance damn!!!! i can see my opponent doing that nasty nasty play now
but oh well

we will learn to play with them and againts them

It's a decent card for the most part. Gb's see the most use from it though; other decks simply use it to protect their boss monsters.

It's ok in Machina as well, but Tbh i get the most lol's from Machina decks when I use it AGAINST them..solidarity and limiter removal just makes it funner when i lance during the BP; nothing worse than losing 800 atk from solidarity..double atk from limiter and 800 MORE for the card effect itself<.<

Also, I don't see Lance in Sabers much yet; see more Seven tools being used tho. For me I still prefer good'ol Trap Stun into Hyun Play's to get rid of backrow,lol..
