Remember that feeling when you activated this card? Pure Oldschool. Raigeki just shook off it's banned status and people greet it with mixed results. Many duelists don't think that this card has any big impact in this format, because the game is crowded with monsters that replace themselves and good players will just play around the card. But is this true? Let's analyze further: There are two kind of decks I would use Raigeki in:

1. Any Rank 4 deck that can make Abyss Dweller
2. Any Deck that can attack quickly for massive amounts of damage

Regarding the first point, Satellarknights and Fire Fists come to mind. You can easily summon Abyss Dweller, use Raigeki and prevent any graveyard related effects via Dweller to virtually turn those floaters into normal monsters. Both Satellarknights and Fire Fists got boosted by the new ban list, by one more copy of Reinforcement of the Army and two more copies of Wolfbark, respectively. Even though they are not exactly at the top of the tier list right now, you still will see them in action for sure.

The second example can be applied to decks like Batteryman or even more aggressive versions of Shaddoll. In those decks you don't care about their monster replacing itself, because you will either develop such a huge swing in momentum that card advantage won't matter or just straight up kill them that very turn you activate Raigeki in.

As for summoning a guy, using Raigeki to destroy Dante, then attacking directly for 1900 damage, no I don't think it's worth it. But like demonstrated above, the card can still be very effective and if you use one of the mentioned archetypes, you should definitely give it a try.

Recommended in: Satellarknight, Fire Fist, Batteryman, Shaddoll
Recommended against: Anything, as long as you use the above deck types
