Old Friends, New Deck (Wind-Up) Empty
PostSubject: Old Friends, New Deck (Wind-Up)   Old Friends, New Deck (Wind-Up) EmptyTue Sep 17, 2013 5:31 am

It's been a while since I've played with these guys, but then again it's been a while since I've played YGO.

It would be a coincidence that I return when a new list shows up. Evil or Very Mad

No matter though! After some research, I thought I'd bring back one archetype that I started playing with when it came out but fell off with after playing with other decks.

Wind-Up Deck:

Monsters:
1 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear
1 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
2 Snowman Eater
2 Tour Guide of the Underworld
1 WU Magician
3 WU Rabbit
3 WU Rat
3 WU Shark
1 WU Soldier
1 WU Warrior

Spells:
1 Book of Moon
1 Dark Hole
2 Fire Formation - Tenki
1 Mind Control
3 MST
1 Salvage
3 WU Factory

Traps:
1 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Compulsory Evacuation Device
2 Dimensional Prison
2 Fiendish Chain
1 Mirror Force
1 Pinpoint Guard
1 Solemn Warning
1 Torrential Tribute

Side: Still working on it

Extra:
1 Abyss Dweller
1 Daigusto Emeral
1 Diamond Dire Wolf
1 Gagaga Cowboy
1 Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger
1 Leviair, the Sea Dragon
1 M-X Sabre Invoker (not a typo! Wink)
1 Maestroke, the Symphony Djinn
1 Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction
1 Number 61: Volcasaurus
1 Photon Papilloperative
1 Soul of Silvermountain
1 Tiras, Keeper of Genesis
1 WU Arsenal Zenmaioh
1 WU Zenmaines

I had fun playing with this deck. I'll put up an image of the deck when I get the chance seeing as how I'm at school and their computers are blocking anything related to games. Mad

You know the drill. Take a look at the deck, then rip it to shreds!

Did you think of switching out Snowman with Fencing Fire Ferret? It's all up to preference, really. Ferret does what Snowman can do and more, that extra 500 goes a long way. Plus, it doesn't need to be flipped, so it's obviously a little faster in terms of setting. Of course, that is, if your opponent is playing passively then Snowman does his job well. Considering the format, however, I'd side Snowman and main Ferret.

Everything else is pretty standard besides Mole, and I like Mole personally so I can't argue on that front.

EDIT: I just realized Salvage is there. Idk. Still up to you on how you really would like to go about the whole Snowman thing.

Seems pretty solid. I personally don't ever like running just 2 TGU as targets though. I often just draw both. The Salvage combo is kinda interesting, but good that you only have it at 1.

I thought about Fire Ferret, but didn't get to test him out yet. This deck was doing okay for me so far, but I am planning to try him out.

At first I didn't think just running TGU by herself was a good idea either, but for some reason (maybe by sheer dumb luck) I've never gotten both of her in OP hand. In that aspect she's done okay for me. I play with her some more to see if that changes.

As for Salvage, together with Snowman is hilarious. Not to mention I get more Shark shenanigans with it. I swear Shark is my new favorite WU monster along with Hunter.

Opening both Tour Guides won't happen that often ( I build decks all the time so I know how ratios work).Reason why she isn't good right now is because everyone mains Maxx "C"/Veiler and other disruption like Fiendish Chain.

I'd at least main 2 Maxx "C"s to keep up with Dragons/Mermails. I'd also consider maining Thunder King Rai-Oh (or at least siding him) because he helps with your bad Spellbook matchup.
