| - 3 Breakthrough Skill - 1 Mystical Space Typhoon
+ 2 Fiendish Chain + 2 Macro Cosmos
I drew some weird hands in testing (e.g. hands like: 1 Evilswarm monster,1 Infestation Pandemic,1 Forbidden Dress, 1 MST, 1 Breakthrough Skill.) It's still a solid deck though. I feel Macro is needed in the main deck, because it's Skill Drain against Fire Fist and completely shuts down Mermails. Not sure about the BTHs, but they've been decent so far and you definitely need real traps beside Ophion protection. Pondering about replacing Utopia with Daigusto Emeral in the Extra Deck. He can revive Gem-Knight Pearl which is huge in the mirror match.

| I agree with your changes considering it takes a more aggressive approach on the Meta. Mermails already hate you for Ophion and Macro just ends it there. I opted 2-Chainz over Breakthrough Skill because #1. I'm a black guy and #2. We like to stop attacks. All that monster removal is insane though. The monster-to-support ratio is is pretty low, but since you have so much protection with the traps, I think it's OK. Just wait until Tachyon and all your questions will be answered lol. | |

| Breakthrough doesn't do shit with Macro on the field, that's the main purpose behind Fiendish over Breakthrough I guess. Fiendish is susceptible to MST while Breakthrough isn't. Stopping attacks is a nice bonus, although they'll try to make Pearl most of the time, where Fiendish won't matter.
Macro is too strong not to run and many other players have come to that conclusion. It lowers the oppnent's Ophion outs tremendously.
And yeah that low monster ratio is probably the biggest problem with the deck. Sometimes you just draw very loose with all that Ophion protection + 1 Evilswarm monster and you try to survive and hope to draw a second one. There are no better monsters to run though and Cardcar and the traps shall help with that problem.
Once Kerk is released , the deck will be much better obv. It's still a solid contender now, imo.

| yes I have, something like this: - Spoiler:
That Sabersaurus can pop up at the worst times though and making generic Rank 4s out of Saber+Evilswarm isn't worth it. Adds dead draws and you miss some good choices in the Extra Deck (this Extra isn't perfect because I didn't bother to continue testing after drawing dead Vanillas too much) The pure version is superior imo.

| Tested Verz Lagia some more and it wasn't that bad. An advantage it has over the pure version is that pretty much all of your monsters can standalone.(unlike Mandragora in pure) With the increased monster count , 1 monster + bunch of spells/traps doesn't come up that often. Also, Duality is straight up nuts.
It's still weird and that Sabersaurus keeps popping up randomly, although you can always use him to grind through backrows. Still, Castor + Saber is pretty shitty, although it wasn't as bad as I imagined, mainly because of the added consistency of Duality and TGU.
Idk both versions have their flaws and I'll keep testing. I'm glad that Kerk gets released in LTGY and that problem will finally be solved. lol
Edit: Yeah, pure is definitely better. That's my final conclusion.

| Allure?
Might be a noob question, but why does everyone use Forbidden Dress? I don't see it used anywhere but in Verz, a deck where we already have 3 Pandemic for protection.

| Don't like Allure in this, since your goal is to get multiple guys on the field for an Xyz summon and I wouldn't want to remove one of them.
Forbidden Dress primarly protects you from destruction effects like Blaster or Heavy Infantry. Also lets you get over bigger monsters.
Been completely out of the loop lately and will post a post-Tachyon version with Kerykeion , Safe Zones, etc. later.
