| Howdy, person reading this post. Thanks for letting your boredom/inane friendliness take you here to this thread.
Anyways, I'm NotSoGallantGallade, which, yes, is a pokemon reference.
Umm... you can go ahead and takes guesses at my age, gender, etc. and I can see what comes up, but all of that is pretty personal, don'tcha think?
In any case, I'm essentially a hipster, so I'm big on indie music (3200+ songs and 300+ artists on my iTunes, hells yes), and as such I'm quite against a lot of mainstream stuff. And metal.
*shot*
If you wanna talk music, cool, I can do that. If you wanna talk sports, I can do that too, as I'm a pretty big fan of (American) football and baseball, and need to become a bigger fan of football in the traditional sense of the word. As in what Americans call soccer.
Anyways, nice to meet y'all, no I'm not from Texas or something, and yes I like rambling.
p.s. I don't have Hamachi. But I have DN. So there. xD

| I'm an interesting person.
I don't actually like calling myself a hipster, I'm definitely not strictly by that definition, but I have hipster-ish qualities. xD
Hells no, I listen to bands from other places. Lots of British and Scottish bands, but I've got a few others from places like Sweden and Spain, though not too much.
Of course I've heard of Flyleaf.
Favorite band of mine is most definitely The Shins, just for the record.

| i believe that JAKELEGION was the academies first hipster. Just tolet you all know, and about the Ham Thing, does ANYBODY know what is the WORKING ham for this place, 1) to get tested and 2) to just talk with the people in the group.
By the Way, welcome NotSoGallantGallade, i recognized the reference instantly as i play Pokemon Online occasionally.

| Ah, well, I'm sure that JAKELEGION person is quite interesting, then. I play po too. Not too awfully well, but I've gotten above 1100 with some teams before, so I'm not a total wash. Even won a couple tourneys on the Smogon server (likely out of sheer luck, but still xD). | |

| Welcome to DGA! I love music and you seem cool so well definately get along . I've grown some appreciation for indie lately so maybe you can refer me to some cool stuff. Btw, I have about 3900 songs on my iTunes, and some more songs on my multiple iPods that I need to move to my laptop. I win scorp: hipsters are hard to define. They enjoy being different from society, so that's sort of like hippies from the 60s, but hippies are more like dirty hobo types while hipsters are usualy educated. Most often hipsters are college students. Hipsters really like music, but despise popular music usually. They try to be different just because they don't like jumping on the bandwagon, but sometimes end up setting new trends, for example, wearing "vintage" clothes and tight jeans. Some indie artists are now sorta famous because of them. And facebook too actually. Fb was originally just for college students. But sometimes the term hipster is used somewhat derogatory, but usually just bc the person doing so is jealous lol | |

I freaking love them. Especially the first album, great lo-fi sound to it. Can't wait to hear what their fourth'll sound like. - harper7000 wrote:

Hell yeah, we'll have to see. Depends on what type of indie too, I've got stuff that ranges from folk-ish to pop-ish to garage rock-ish to alt rock-ish to- *shot* And I'm catching up, just for the record. I'll see if I can only give you enough good artists to let me catch up to you at some point (plus, I've only really been into indie for just over a year, tbh.) For the record, I hate skinny jeans. Just sayin'. xD - TheRuler wrote:

Welcome to DGA Thanks. And that's what happens when I go to school, I guess. I'm just that cool, y'know. people dig my slight hipsterness and humorous personality. As for the ones I didn't quote, howdy to you all too. ^^

| Well I have an appreciation for basically any kind of music, so as long as it's good, I'll listen to it lol. Probably rock or folk indie I would like best though. Haha yeah, ofc not all hipsters are exacty the same | |

| Ah, I see.
In that case, have you heard of Kings of Convenience? Great duo, easy listening, very good stuff. I'd Rather Dance With You and Misread are my two favorites of theirs. ^^
