PostSubject: Genex Frog Narch Deck Profile   Fri May 06, 2011 5:28 pm

Sup DGA People Smile This is Scorp again and this time with a deck profile that I know you all want to read because this time it is about Monarchs. formula Monarchs are cool but IMO the deck is kinda slow. The deck have some interesting plays like Shooting Star Dragon and some more but the deck is actualy toop slow to see those monster get on the field in early game. In thise deck Profile you will see My version of Genex Frog Narchs and Why I use that build

Genex FrogNarch

Monsters 28

1 Gorz
2 Genex Cotroler
2 Genex Undine
2 Treeborn Frog
2 Swap Frog
2 Fishborg Blaster
2 LADD
3 Caius
2 Chaos Sorcerer
3 Battle Fader
3 Raiza
1 Veiler ( this will be explained )
2 Ally Genex Birdman
1 Mobius

Spelss 12

3 Soul Exchange
1 Monster Reborn
1 Foolish Burial
3 Enemy controller
2 MST
1 Trunade
1 POA/Trag/One for One ( Up to you )

NO TRAPS

Let me Explain some of the monsters in this deck

Birdman : This monster right here is like the key of the deck. Basicly Birdman can be SP sumon returning a monsster you control to the hand, in other workds, this monster recycles monsters like Molnarchs and even Chaos sorcerer and this monster is a level 3 tuner !

Chaos Sorcerer : This is nothing les sthan the MVP Of the deck. I know you will tell me '' huh scorp, no one never toped a YCS with chaos sorcerer in monarchs, why do you use this monster '' Like I said at the begining of the format, this format is all about speed ! The big problem of monarchs is this '' You need a monarch in the field to start your combos '' Otherwise your deck is SLOW. This monster is a level 6 monster like all the other monarches and his effect is broke ! You can also use his effect and thenuse it as a synchro mateiral to gain pluses. I will explain the combos later in the article

Genex Undine : this monster is better than swap frog most of the time and I will explain you Why. Swap frog can only sned aqua type monsters to the grave. You cant send fishborg with his effect and fishborg is the main tuner of the deck. Undine can send fishborg to the grave but she can do more than that. Usualy monarchs use fishborg and treeborn as synmchro foders to get formula and draw 1. When you do that with fishborg you dont get pluses but with undine you do. you have treeorn on the field, sumon undine and send fishborg to the grave adding a genex controler to the hand. Discard the contgroler you got with undine to the grave to sp sumon fishborg, synchro fishborgh and treeborn for formula and now you get a real PLUS and you can still synchro formula with undine Wink

Effect Veiler : You should all know that in round 2 ... Monarchs use Krystia. If you dont, dont play monarchs plz XD nah I'M kidding. Butt his is the reason why people are maining veilers in monarchs. Personaly I think it is useless but I dont wana side 3 veielrs and 2 krystia so I Main and 1 this makes another light for Chaos Sorcerer wich is he MVP of the deck.

ok enough of Basics. Lets talk about the real Shit !!!! Lets see the real combos.

Colossal / Armory Arm Any one !!!

I know you may think I am obessed with this combo but this is the most important otk of the game. If your deck can do it, DO IT ! if you dont your dumb ! Let me explain how you can start that combo
1st SP sumon treeborn from your graveyard you also need a light in the grave ) then you sumon Genex undine sending fishborg to the grave and adding genex xontroler to the hand.discard genex controler to sp sumon fishborg. Synchro fishborg and unsine into Armory arm. Then sp sumon fishborg again discarding any card from the hand. Synchro treeborn and fishborg into formula synchron and draw one. At this point you have formula and armory arm. Sp sumon chaos sorcerer from your hand and turn him into colosal fighter. Equip armory arm on your opponent 1900 or plus monster and ram, ram and ram again into the opponent monster for GAME !

Now lets push the cisrconstances further. How good this deck can be. How can you change the game with monarch combos. Lets say you stoped an OTK with fader on your opponents turn and your opponent field is this one

Opponents field : Shooting Star + Red Nova + Colosal Fighter + Tought Ruler Archfied
Looks scary huh ! now this is your cards

Hand :Chaos sorcerer + Birdman + Caius and 1 random card
Field : Battle Fader
Graveyard : Treeborn +1 Light + 1 Dark

Lets win this turn ok Wink

Sp sumon treeborn. Tribute Fader for caius removing any monster on the field except shooting star. Now Sp sumon fishborg sending that random card to the grave and synchro fishborg and treeborn into formula and draw 1. SP sumon chaos sorcerer removing your light and dark in your grave and remove a second monster from play. Sp sumon birdman bringing back chaos sorcerer to the hand. now your field is Birdman + Caius + Formula. Synchro Caius and Formula into Red Dragon Archfiend or SD ( depending on the opponents life points ) then you have another light and dark in the graveyard. Spo sumon chaos sorcer and remove a 3rd monster in yhopur opponents side of the field. synchro birdman and chaos sorcerer into Genex Locomotion to take control of the last monster your opponents control and turn your opponents OTK into your OTK !

This is just an exemple of what the deck can do. The last situation wil probably never hapens into a duel XD but now you know how far you can push the Birdman and chaos build in monarchs Wink

Side Decking : I know Harpy wanted to learn about this so this is basicly the staples for me in a monarchs side deck

2 Veilers ( cuz I main 1
2 Krystia
3 Pupet Plants
2 Cydras
2 Malevolent

And then you go with your own techs Wink

Hope you liked the article of this week guys and leave comments cuz you know I apreciate them
Cya next week for another article with Scorpeh Wink

EDIT : forgot, Before I get a commentn on this. THE DARK DUST SPIRIT ARE SIDED . Why ? Chaos sorcer can take care of the big threats without destroying. I side them for swarm decks

I like this build of monarchs, seems like there are a lot of combos that the standard frognarchs can't pull off. It also seems like this version can utilize the side deck more. I'm gonna try this out, good job Scorp!

I'm skeptical on the CS tech but the thought never hurts by any means.

As for the up to you tech; POA would generally be used..but due to space adding CS and Using Birdman; You can get away with not using POA.

Then Trag SHOULD be in the deck Generally speaking...but again..adding CS bumps him out of the deck more less.

So I think you almost HAVE to go 141 As minus'ing one swap frog leave a space open to search quicker; so I would say use 141 over the three choices.

As for the OTK....its ok...but not something that should be forced...IMO it's almost better just leaving it to Fish OTK...as they have THREE different OTK's...so their not limited to the one where a monster has to be face up.

If your not familiar with what I mean ( For those that don't use Fish OTK ).

1. Requirements-Opponent has a Face-up Monster(s)

*Trunade
*Summon Coalecanth
*Summon Two Borg and 2 Oyster
*Sync for Armory Arm
*Sync for Colossal
*Sync for a 2nd Armory Arm ( If Needed )
*Equip one or two Armory Arm to Opponents Monster ( Depends on opponents monster's attack )
*Ram Colossal into The Opponents Monster and let Armory Arm Burn for Game

~TCG Only Loop As OCG doesn't have this same broken loop in their rulings~

~If opponents monster is 900-1800 Attack; Must Equip Two Armory Arms~

~If opponents Monster is 1900 Attack or higher; Must Equip One Armory Arm~

2.Requirements- Opponent has a Set Monster(s)

*Trunade
*Summon Coalecanth
*Summon 2 borg and Oyster
*Sync for Armory Arm
*Sync for Gishilion
*Pitch for Borg and go Formula Synchron
*Sync For Brio
*Bounce the Set Monster(s) w/ Brio
*Attack with all 3 for 8100 Damage and GG

~Gishilion will be at 3000 atk; hence the 8100 Damage~

3.Requirements- No Monster(s) On the Field

*Trunade
*Summon coalecanth
*Summon 2 Borg and Oyster
*Sync for Armory Arm
*Sync for a 2nd Armory Arm
*Equip one Armory Arm to the Other Armory Arm
*Pitch for Borg and Go Red Dragon Archfiend
*Pitch for Borg and go Formula
*Repeat Above Step again
*Sync for Red Nova Dragon ( Should have 5500 Atk at this point )
*Attack with Red Nova First
*( Optional Gorz Response here )
*Attack for GG or if Opponent Summoned Gorz; Attack Gorz with Armory Arm and let Armory Arm Burn Complete the GG then.

Regardless though, It's a nice deck idea; Gl with it.

i can see your septic about chaos sorcerer but I forogt to explain some things XD
CS is very easy to sumon cuz formula is your draw engine in that deck and your draw engine is actualy a light monster Razz wich is pretty ridiculous !|

Now forgot to explain the veiler either. On round 2 you should have 3 veilers and 2 krystia in main deck while going against swarm decks wich means, More Lights and anto-Meta FTW XD swarms cant do shit and krystia comes back to the top of the deck when she is destroyed so he cant get rid of it unless she gets removed from play. You can either tribute krystia or sp sumon him cuz thats why you polay 3 veilers.

Pretty interesting article, I will have forty out some of these combos. But one thing's bothering me: why bother with Veilers? Kristya I understand since she can easily be tributed and brought back with Ladd...but you only have 3 Veilers and 2 Kristya for your fairies. If you have a Kristya in hand, that's exactly 4 monsters that could possibly be in the grave to be able to special her. That just seems highly situational to me, it would seem to me as if the Veilers take up unecessary space for an unlikely combo

I meant to say this earlier, but veiler is a spellcaster-type monster, not a fairy, so the veilers would only be good for chaos, since they can't aid in the special summon of krystya. O.o

Good point. I forgot about the formula's though...so I suppose CS wouldn't be that dead; but still see it as mainly a mid game card when resources get tight and you need that one big counter punch to give yourself a win.
